The Sarvodaya Bhajan Math was established for the devotees of the Ellakkal Pothupara region to gather for worship and spiritual unity, starting from the early days of settlement in the High Ranges. It has been conducting lamps and chanting during Ekadashi, along with divine rituals and temple construction as per the prescribed procedures. The temple's rituals during the Mandalavratha period and other religious observances are noteworthy, especially the procession from the temple, where the deity is carried with devotion.

The temple serves as a powerful center of grace, removing planetary afflictions and astrological doshas, particularly related to Shani and other planets. Situated in Munnar, a prime tourist destination of South India, near the famous Ponmudi resort, it has been hosting the "Samuhashani Pooja" on the first Saturdays of every Malayalam month. This is conducted in the evening under the supervision of the priests and practitioners. Additionally, every Saturday, devotional hymns and chanting are performed before the deity.

From December 21 to 25, 2024, the Ayyappa Dharma Satra took place, which helped rejuvenate and renovate the temple with various sacred activities.
